This tour is part of Heritage Open Days.

Explore the new home for the University of Lancashire's Special Collections and University Archives for 2025. Situated in the Students' Union building on the Preston campus, the Special Collections will be open during the scheduled times for visitors to explore a range of items relating to the architecture of the University plus the alternative world of temperance history through the Livesey Collection. Visitors will also be able to browse the wider collections to see the range of material on hand.The University Archivist, Fran Robinson, and Temperance Historian Dr Annemarie McAllister will be on hand for you to Ask the Experts on a range of topics including the collections, the University and Temperance History.Please book your ticket in advance so we can carefully manage numbers. As this is a chance to explore the Special Collections space in a more informal way, the location will be open during the scheduled time slots, however you can arrive at any time during this period.
