About the course:
The course will run for 6 weeks and introduce both traditional and modern photography techniques with our professional photographer Lizzie Songhurst. Based at Idle Valley Nature Reserve we will be looking at the beauty in Nature, whilst enjoying the magnificent surroundings of the reserve. One highlight of the course is a film photography session where you will have the opportunity to use film cameras to practice what you’ve learned using a roll of 24-36 shots. Expect a mix of classroom learning and outdoor exploration, so don’t forget your coats!
Lizzie Songhurst
Lizzie is a freelance photographer and videographer specialising in events and business promotion and will lead the course. In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature and capturing the night sky. The course will start with the fundamentals: how to use your camera and understand its settings to create different effects. We will then dive into composition techniques and creative approaches to help you take your images to the next level.
