Event description

Description

Women, have you considered getting involved in politics but not quite been able to take the plunge? Do you need more information but don't know where to get it? Or do you worry you don't have the skills but you still want to make a difference?

Come along to the first Liverpool workshop from The Parliament Project, an initiative to increase the numbers of women in political office, as we help women explore their political pathway.

  • Think about why you want to get involved in politics
  • Find out more about the various roles that you could work toward
  • Look at the different routes and pathways to get there
  • Decide on your next steps
  • Talk to other women who are motivated and excited too!

Organised with the support of The Women's Organisation, come to this event to be inspired by others and take your first steps. We will be joined by Wirral South MP Alison McGovern and Liverpool City Region Mayoral candidate Tabitha Morton, who will share how they got involved in politics and the workshop will be facilitated by Parliament Project leads for the North.

We are grateful to be supported by The Women's Organisation for the venue. Doors will open at 1800 and the workshop will start promptly at 1830.

Venue is wheelchair accessible. Spaces are limited.

We are grateful that the Parliament Project is financially supported by the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust.
