About this Event

Join us for our Virtual Open Evening

Are you in Year 11 at school or currently not in education, employment or training? If you're confused about what your next steps should be, join us to get clarity on what your options are and find out more about our vocational study programme, aspire2work.

When: Tuesday 20th April 5pm - 6pm

Where: Via Microsoft Teams (link will be sent once registered)


Overview of post-16 education options and introduction to aspire2work - Our Director of Learning, Dawn Hardy, will talk through the post-16 education options and advise on how to make the best choice. She will also give an overview of the aspire2work programme; what courses are on offer and where our centres are.

Find out more about a particular centre - Choose which centre you want to know more about when you register and join the breakout room. Our Performance Managers and Learner Support Team will provide more specific information about their centre, courses and levels. They will also offer information about other post-16 education options available within the area.

Q&As - Attendees will get the chance to ask the team any questions.

About aspire2work

Aspire2work is a vocational study programme for anybody aged 16-19 (and up to age 25 with an EHCP) and offers a range of courses across Yorkshire and the Humber. All courses are offered at multiple levels, to suit all knowledge and experience levels. Every course and centre is rated Good by Ofsted.

What makes us different?

Aspire2work offers small class sizes, meaning we can offer wrap around support for young people, ensuring a personal relationship with tutors and pastoral staff and a supportive and caring learning environment. We also have a dedicated SEN team, who can provide support for people with additional needs.

When selecting a ticket, please choose The Opportunity Centre you'd like to hear more during the event.

Once, registered you'll receive a confirmation email and a few days before the event you'll be send a link to the Microsoft Teams event.

If you are not available on this date, we are happy to arrange a separate 1-1 or group session. Please email to arrange.
