Event description

Description

We'd like to bring together anyone with enthusiasm for photography for free photomeets, walks and talks. Whether you use your phone or the very latest DSLR camera, you're invited to come and join us!

On 23rd February, we are teaming up with Space Play to head out on a walk which will take in some of Birmingham city centre's most iconic brutalist architecture. From the towering Sentinels to the bunker-like structure of the New Street signal box, we'll take in Birmingham's best loved brutes, as well as some hidden spaces! From ground level, as well as from various higher vantage points, we'll enjoy a few hours of urban, architectural and street photography, before heading to the pub for much needed refreshments and a chat - and everbody is very welcome!

Space Play are expert architectural model-makers and we are very excited to say that all attendees of this event will recive a free, first release, mini concrete model of the New Street signal box! We will also be running a competiton to find the best photograph taken during the walk, with the winner receiving a larger version of the sculpture!

We will be meeting at 10.45, for an 11.00 start - we'll email you with a meeting point a week of so prior to the event. The walk will last roughly two hours and we will be climbing a number of staircases during this time.

We look forward to seeing you there!
