Exploring boundaries: Creative Innovation Workshop / PLAY
Wed 12 April 2017, 18:00 – 21:00 BST
Exploring Boundaries - a path to creative innovation
PLAY / 12th April, 6 - 9pm
This workshop will explore the importance of play in creating work and the ability to play during the creative process. We will consider thinking ‘outside the box’, how this can be interpreted and finding a way to express your thought process in a coherent, engaging way.
An ability to play, explore and challenge the norms is important. Finding a way to express your thought process is important in all creative disciplines including: fashion, design and the arts.
Over a 3 hr workshop we will create a body of work responding the theme PLAY, and explore how to present this work in a meaningful way. We will be working in small groups, and independently to create pieces which can then be incorporated into your own practice.
Suitable for practicing artists/ designers, graduates, and students. This workshop is the first in a series of workshops which helps develop the research and design process, and conceptual thought. Workshops help with idea generation, and promotes cross disciplinary practice.
