During this fireside chat-style session, Prosper’s stakeholder development manager Kerry McElroy will interview Ely Sandler (Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School and co-founder of the Article-Six Group) to discuss:

His career path, including key milestones, decisions and transitions along the way.
Similarities and differences when working with colleagues in the private sector and academia.
The importance of broad networks across academia and the private sector, and tips he would share to develop these networks.
Advice on exploring career options.

Session format

This session will take place online via Zoom.

Ely Sandler is an American economist working at the intersection of academia, public policy and the private sector. He focuses on energy finance, environmental economics, and outer space.

In his academic work, Ely teaches clean energy finance and outer space policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. His course "Financing the Clean Energy Transition" is the Kennedy School's most over-subscribed class, and his research has been adapted by governments and international institutions such as the World Bank. His work has been referenced in the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and Bloomberg, and called a "trend to watch" by the Financial Times.

In his private sector work, Ely is co-founder of the Article Six Group, advising governments on climate policy and developing large-scale clean energy infrastructure. He is also a partner at Aurelia Foundry, a leading space tech venture capital fund.
