Event description

Description

With the success of last year's Exploring Chaplaincy conference we are pleased to be hosting Exploring Chaplaincy in Education. This year we are excited to have a number of partners involved.

Plenary sessions will include the following:

Mapping the Landscape of Chaplaincy in Education in the UK - led by Sarah Lane Cawte and Sara Iles of the Free Churches Group. This session will broadly inform you about chaplaincy in Education across the UK. It will become clear that chaplaincy has a wide-reach, and diverse shape!

What about Further Education? FE is the only sector of education which does not have statutory chaplaincy, yet it is clear that chaplaincy is just as important for these students as anyone else. Pete Carrington will talk about the work Festive is doing to meet this need.

Looking for Change: Using Chaplaincy Central Research Creatively. This session will explore a significant research project undertaken in the past year by Chaplaincy Central. Toni Coulton from Chaplaincy Central will guide us through the data collected from 100 chaplains across the country.

Workshops will explore the following areas:

Spiritual Development

Worry and Anxiety

Introducing prayer to schools and colleges

Registration is open for anyone who would like to book.

Exploring Chaplaincy in Education is a partnership between: Festive, Chaplaincy Central, Free Churches Group and Nazarene Theological College.

We look forward to seeing you in July.
