Description

This lively and interactive short course is suitable for anyone curious about learning more about how to have better interactions with people living with dementia.

Maybe you know someone living with dementia or you work with people who have dementia.

There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051. (Alzheimers Society)

This interactive training course will give you an understanding of:

• The most Common Symptoms and their impact on communication, perception and relationships.

• Useful communication techniques.

• Positive and enabling activities.

• How to support someone to live well with dementia.

Interactive exrcises will help you:

• Explore some symptoms. (What might it feel like)

• Have successful interactions.

• Think creatively about dementia care.
