Join us for a fascinating autumn walk through the New Forest as we explore the secretive and often misunderstood world of mushrooms and toadstools.
This walk offers an introduction to identifying and grouping some of the more common fungi species found in the forest. You'll also learn to spot seasonal wild foods such as hedgerow berries and woodland fruits and hear about their traditional uses.
You will enjoy a taste of the wild with samples of jams and syrups brought along on the day made from responsibly foraged ingredients (provided by the guide).
Please note: This is an educational walk so we will not be harvesting or collecting fungi or wild foods on the day.
Meeting point: The Showground, New Park, Brockenhurst. SO42 7QH.
