About this event

Celebrate summer by exploring the wonderful range of vibrant colours that can be achieved with a range of tree leaves and barks. A sister course to the autumn focus on tree tannins, this course will see you discover a wide range of vibrant golds, yellows and oranges. Find the colours hidden away inside the trees of Bradfield woods and use them to dye some test skeins and samplers. Enjoy the surrounding of these ancient woods and relax with some simple braiding techniques or tree twine making while the dye pots develop.

Suitable for complete beginners.

Fay first learnt about dyeing when she was a Tudor re-enactor at Kentwell Hall. She has built up an eclectic knowledge of native dye plants and their identification.

Please come suitably prepared for the British weather.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served throughout the day and are included in the price.  Please bring a packed lunch.
