At Hyde Park Corner, the group will hear the stories of the Sikhs in World War 1 and World War II at the Commnwealth Memorial Gates and at the RAF Bomber Command Memorial. A walk through Hyde Park to the Albert Memorial where stories of the Great Exhibition of 1951, Imperial College London, the South Kensington Museums Campus and their links to stories from sikh history will be explored explored. The tour ends at the Queen Victoria Statue at Kensington Palace, where attendees will be given the option to visit the Palace at the end of the tour.Bio: The streets of London are full of history, and stories from Sikh & Punjab History are brought to life through walking tours by Rav Singh, founder of A little History of the Sikhs. A little History of the Sikhs is a community initiative that works to translate research in modern-day Sikh history and heritage into walking tours in London, day trips in the South-East of England and study visits to destinations in the UK and across Western Europe. Accessibility: The guided walk is from Hydep Park Corner to Kensington Palace, via routes in Hyde Park. The tour is largely flat across Hydep Park, but there are steps at the Albert Memorial.End Point: Queen Victoria Statue at Kensington Palace.
