About this event

Welcome to Ekho Collective's exciting new project: EXPLORING THE EDGES - The barriers people face to take up space.

In these sessions we particularly interested in working with folks from marginalised communities.

Over 3 sessions we will be providing a collaborative, safe and inclusive discussion circles for folks to come together, have open & honest conversations and share experiences around physical and figurative edges.

On a hazel and twine-grid frame we will countermap a visualisation of our boundaries. After each session we invite folks to contribute to the map using the natural materials provided based on what we have been to see and talked about during the session.

The legacy will be a community generated natural map that we can photograph every month as the edges soften, the map decomposes, and is returned to the Earth illustrating the impermanence of boundaries, how they change over time.

The conversations held during these sessions will help Ekho to shape future activities and projects.

Nature

How plants and animals exploit edges.
