About this event

Featuring Graham Walker (cello), Harriet Mackenzie (violin) and Patrick Hemmerlé (piano), this concert explores Ireland’s influence on a surprising range of composers. Frank Martin’s Trio on Irish Tunes is an absolute delight, one of the composers most enduring chamber music works, Britten and Beethoven’s folk song arrangements although completely different in their realisation, reflect the strong interest invoked by the vivid folklore of a country which has often kept its own musical roots free from European influences.
