Exploring the post-PhD working life
Tue 9 May 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
We would like to invite you to the fifth Energy Demand in Practice event which is taking place on Tuesday 9th May in the Jevons Room at 6pm.
We have invited three PhD graduates from UCL to tell us about their current roles and give us their tips about planning for future careers following a PhD:
Carrie Behar completed her PhD with LoLo in 2016 and is currently working as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Useful Simple Projects. Her PhD focused on a sociotechnical perspective of ventilation practices.
Francis Li is a Research Associate at the UCL Energy Institute, after receiving his PhD in Energy and Economics from the UCL Energy Institute in 2013. His current research looks at energy economic modelling and energy policy.
Ed Sharp is also a Research Associate at the UCL Energy Institute, and completed his PhD with LoLo in 2015. His PhD looked at the spatial dimensions of energy demand, and he is currently working on an energy demand simulation tool for cities.
The event will be followed by networking drinks and nibbles in Harry’s Café (1st floor kitchen, Central House, UCL).
We hope to see you there!!
