Exploring the Power of Green Social Prescribing
Overview
We're excited to welcome you to our first Social Prescribing event here in Hertfordshire, focusing on the drive and need to support Green Social Prescriptions locally and what success should look like. In partnership with the Public Health Team at Hertfordshire County Council, and the Office of the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, we are inviting us to join us to explore how we can work together across sectors, to help individuals feel better, build connections and build healthier, greener communities.
Our objectives for this seminar are:
- Join us, and help us shape the next phase for Green Social prescribing in Hertfordshire.
- Hear from sector leaders and successful practitioners.
- Help us unlock the power of nature to improve the health and wellbeing of Hertfordshire’s residents.
Green Social Prescribing connects people with nature-based activities like walking groups, gardening, and conservation, to support mental and physical health. It’s not just for social prescribers. Anyone, working with individuals or communities can signpost or refer people to green activities, and we hope that you will be able to join us for an informative morning to explore how we can increase connections between people and nature, to enhance health and wellbeing.
