About this event

Explore the common experiences and emotions associated with bereavement and grief and discover evidence-based models that can deepen understanding and promote wellbeing. Learn about health and social care systems that recognise bereavement as an integral part of the duty of care, including strategies for healthy coping and the use of compassionate language when communicating with a bereaved person. As part of the course, you’l also be given information on where individuals can access further support.

Grief is a deeply personal experience, and understanding the theories of grief will help healthcare professionals support those coping with bereavement. It’s crucial to recognise the various factors that can influence the grieving process, enabling you to offer sensitive, tailored support to those who are bereaved.
