Exploring Trans Bias: A Relflective Workshop
This workshop is for anyone working with trans clients in a therapeutic setting who wants to deepen their understanding of how bias can show up in our work.
(£5 of each regular fee goes to Gendered Intelligence, a UK charity that supports trans and gender-diverse people through education and advocacy.)
Together we'll take a closer look at the biases that exist in the world around us and within ourselves, and how they might influence our work. We'll explore the impact this can have on trans clients, and reflect on ways to respond or repair when harm happens. This workshop provides a supportive space to examine our biases and our responses honestly and openly.
Through discussion and reflective exercises, this workshop created room to grow awareness, challenge our unconscious judgments and commit to accountable and affirming practice moving forward.
People who’ve joined this workshop in the past have said it felt like a safe, supportive space where they could reflect and challenge themselves. Many shared that it stayed with them long after, helping them grow and enrich their practice in ways they really valued.
