About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Isabella Jessica Millar is a Scottish self-employed poet & model, previously graduating from The University of Dundee with an MA (HONS) in English Literature & Creative Writing. Her work centres around nature, specifically its minutiae and how the female self & nature intertwine.

Her work discusses nature on an emotional & spiritual level. This Poetry Workshop will be centered around the theme of nature. Inviting participants to think about what nature is, how nature makes them feel, and to really pay attention to the minutiae of nature. It will also incorporate some elements of spirituality, allowing space for participants to think about and include their cultural, religious, & ancestral experiences.

This workshop is designed to fully encourage the writers to hone in on their thoughts & feelings through self-reflection and the relation of themselves in and/or through nature. Participants will be given a set of questions as prompts to encourage their creativity. No writing experience necessary, all are welcome!

Isabella's first volume of poetry, petrichor, has recently been published and is available in hardback or paperback form.
