Join us from 1800 onwards for refreshments and networking, followed by our evening seminar from 1830 on with Judith Wardell of Kingswood Age Confident.
In this event, Judith Wardell from Kingswood Age Confident will present a thought provoking insight into the key demographic changes taking place in relation to age, generational differences and lifestyle choices. She will demonstrate the need for organisations to rethink approaches to workplace design and people management strategies to meet the needs of both older workers and the next generation of talent.
The population is ageing; people are living longer and the impact of the Baby Boomer generation means that older people are the fastest growing group in both the workforce and customer base. For younger generations the expectation of a 100 year lifespan will become the norm. Ageing is a topic that concerns all of us and longer lives should be something to celebrate rather than fear.
Learn about the impact of an ageing population for your organisation and the risks and opportunities of an age diverse workforce.
Be inspired to rethink age, work and retirement and ensure your organisation is able to recruit and retain the talent it needs to succeed and grow in the future.
Judith is co-founder of Kingswood Age Confident; a consultancy and training business that enables organisations to become capable and confident in both managing an ageing workforce and engaging older consumers. Judith has a background in Human Resource Management, working for Peugeot, Smith & Nephew, Colgate and the Police Service. She established Kingswood in 2002 and has a strong track record of enabling clients to embrace diversity in the workplace. She is a Fellow of the CIPD and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Later Life Coaching.
As a Baby Boomer herself, Judith is passionate about demonstrating the business case for change in the workplace. She was active in promoting the introduction of age diversity legislation to businesses and has been involved in several research and active learning projects with Age UK, DWP, the Welsh Assembly and the Life Academy.
