Event description

Description

Brighton Extinction Rebellion have been incredibly fortunate in securing Dr Read to present a lecture at The Brighthelm Centre in Brighton entitled 'Hope to the world: The true direness of the crisis we face and Extinction Rebellion’s astonishing and transformative response'. This will take place on Wednesday 26th June.

Dr. Rupert Read is an academic and a Green Party politician in England. He is the former Chair of the Green House thinktank, a former Green Party spokesperson for transport, former East of England party co-ordinator and currently a Reader in Philosophy at the University of East Anglia and an XR spokesperson.

Doors will open from 18:30. The lecture will start at 19:00 so please be on time.

Come and have your world view transformed. You will never think the same again.

There will be time after the lecture to talk to others and find out more about Extinction Rebellion locally, as well as a short grounding session for those who'd benefit from it.

NB. The Brighthelm is an accessible venue with accessible toilets and there is T-loop technology for people with hearing impairment.
