About this event
Come along to this interactive, lively session with Elaine Bennett, founder of Keeping Early Years Unique, early maths specialist, practising Reception teacher and EYFS leader to explore how you can begin to build a maths curriculum which meets the needs of all children, has play and interaction at heart and promotes the core building blocks of early maths. We will explore current research and the EYFS reforms to consider how we can focus on getting it right for each and every child! This session will take place through zoom.

Organiser of EYFS 2021: Building a Maths Curriculum to Nurture Mathematical Minds
Keeping Early Years Unique (KEYU for short) was founded 6years ago. It was a Facebook page I started as a haven for people working in ECE. I was becoming aware of pressure in the early years sector, not just on the adults working there, but the children too and their families.
I was often finding myself feeling isolated in the world of social media, defending childrens right to play and develop at their own rate. I was beginning to feel maybe I was alone in my views. I founded KEYU and it quickly became clear that I most definitely was not. Today we are 51,000 strong and growing.
