This session is:

Inclusion by design: getting off to a flying start with parents and children; the prime areas of learning

We will listen to a case study of how one of our schools ensures all children get off to a flying start. It will unpick how do we adapt provision to meet the needs of our children with examples of reading and writing scaffolds and adaptations & approaches to develop spatial reasoning in different ways.

We will also spend time looking at the wider needs of our children, strengthening how we meet the needs of the community, and how we utilise the characteristics of effective learning to address deficits in communication and language.

Pre-reading:

EY section of your Academy Improvement Plan; baseline data

Following this CPL, the intention is for there to be continued formal networking of teacher learning communities based on common need of school and/or leader. This will be achieved through Peer Learning Groups.
