About this event

This event will be hosted by the Academy Improvement Team.

This EY conference is open to EY teachers, nursery leaders/teachers

Please bring an electronic device and your own lunch; refreshments will be provided.

This session is:

Catching up in order to keep up; getting the best start in life.

In this first conference, we will unpick the DfE's latest guidance around getting the best start in life, unpicking what it means to ‘as fast as possible but as slow as necessary.'

We will think particualrly about what this means for the planned EY curriculum and EY pedagogy and mastery teaching that enables this for all children. We will shine a spotlight on maths and reflect on how we meet need at different points throughout the year.

There will be dedicated time for you to reflect on your current cohort, what your baseline is telling you, and how we meet need for all.
