Event description
South West EYSEND Regional Action Learning Set

About this Event

The Council for Disabled Children and the EYSEND Partnership are pleased to invite you to our second South West Regional Action Learning Set, where you can hear from guest speakers, get updates on national EYSEND policy, network with your regional colleagues and continue strategic planning to improve access and inclusion in your local area. With things changing so quickly, we are planning for part of the agenda to feature another Coronavirus update and discussion.

The programme is funded by the Department for Education and you can find out more about the  partnership on our website: https://councilfordisabledchildren.org.uk/early-years-send-partnership

Date:        Thursday 11th March 2021

Time:        10am-2pm (exact timings and agenda will be confirmed nearer the time)

Virtual Platform: Zoom

Why attend this Action Learning Set?

• Celebrate good practice across the region and learn from each other;

• Review local progress on early years, SEN and disability;

• Learn about the training being provided by our partners;

• Learn about additional support that may be available to you in progressing local plans;

• Take a strategic approach to access and inclusion in the early years.

It is integral for our success that we collaborate with different teams, from education, health and social care, and from each local area and so we would like to strongly encourage that all attendees share our event with colleagues as appropriate. Our goal is a high level of joint attendance at regional workshops and joint action plans to support a strategic approach.

Who should attend?

There are several places available for each local area, should you require more please get in touch. As usual, it is for each area to decide who should attend, and we understand that attendance will be partially determined by availability. We would recommend attendance is drawn from:

• Health, for example, health visitor, therapist, DMO, DCO;

• Local authority SEN team;

• Local authority early years team;

• Early years providers;

• Social care;

• Information, Advice and Support Services;

• Representatives of parents/carers
