Faber & Faber presents Poetry on the Fourth Floor at Christmas. With pianist Stephen Plaistow and poetry readings from Wendy Cope, Daljit Nagra and Clare Pollard.
This December, Faber is delighted to host an evening of seasonal treats at their home in Bloomsbury. Complete with festive mulled wine and minced pies, the event brings together a trio of acclaimed poetic voices. The night also includes short sequences of music including Haydn, Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and Debussy.

Wendy Cope was born in Erith, Kent. After university she worked for fifteen years as a primary-school teacher in London. Her first collection of poems, Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis, was published in 1986. Her most recent collection is Family Values.
Daljit Nagra was born and raised in West London, then Sheffield. In 2008 he won the South Bank Show/Arts Council Decibel Award. His new version of the Ramayana has been shortlisted for the 2013 T S Eliot Prize.
Clare Pollard was born in Bolton in 1978 and lives in London. Her first collection of poetry, The Heavy-Petting Zoo, received an Eric Gregory Award. Her new version of Ovid’s Heroines was published by Bloodaxe in 2013.
