Calling sewing bees from Ealing / West London / London 🐝

Join us for some guilt free, environmentally-friendly fabric shopping and swapping. Destash your fabric drawer, meet other sewing bees and enjoy a cuppa and cake whilst supporting charity.

Clear out your unused fabric & pattern stash. You’ll receive tokens for the fabric and patterns you donate, which you can swap for pre-loved fabrics. Bring your debit card to purchase patterns, cake and buy top up tokens to pay for new fabric treasures. No problem if you’ve not got fabric to swap.

This year we'll have an optional fabric drop session on Sunday 12 October 2-4pm at the same venue. So feel free to bring fabrics then.

On event day, please bring:

  • sewing patterns to donate (in exchange for tokens to swap for fabric)

  • fabric with the length & width already measured and marked on masking tape please. No pins please but safety pins fine. Kindly fold each fabric donation into a neat bundle and tape in place please.

  • card/ cash to buy top-up tokens (for fabric), tea and cake, £3 entry donation on the day (£2 per person entry donation here online in advance).

  • bag-for-life / jute bag to get your new treasures home safely.

  • a loved garment in need of repair - Ealing Repair Cafe will be at hand to teach you how to mend and extend the life of your clothes.

Proceeds raised will go to the local Ealing & West London Days for Girls groups to buy specialised fabric to sew reusable menstrual kits for Days for Girls charity.

Look forward to seeing you there!
