Flow & Flourishes
Why do my designs look disjointed? Where do I put the swirls? What is flow? Are you simply fed up with the same tired old swirls? Let us help you get over that barrier!
This class will help you to discover new ways to enhance your designs and create a pleasing balance. You will master some new delicate linework whilst learning the importance of positioning on the face.
Flow & Flourishes covers the following topics:
- The importance of focal points
- Understanding where the flow lines lie
- Discovering the secrets of good placement
- Creating designs using these skills
- New floaty flourishes to enhance your work
What you will need
- a practice board or paper, or a ‘head’
- pen and paper for notes and sketches
- paint – a variety of good linework colours and a black and white
- brushes: a good variety of brushes – in particular a good pointy round No.6, 4 and 2, or any round brush, a petal brush, a filbert, a flat, a small dotter brush No.2 or 4 and a liner type brush. If you don’t have these, don’t worry, we can manage without.
