With guest presenters Richard Crombie and Steve Greathead of marine lubricants manufacturer RS Clare
The received wisdom is that nobody nowhere will want to start their 2017 with an early morning breakfast meeting following a week of indolence and festive joy. We at Mersey Maritime, however, are happy to reject such minor convention: after all, an event that takes place on the first Tuesday must take place on the first Tuesday regardless of distractions, which means we’ll be throwing our doors open to all-comers come what may.
We’re kicking off the new year with guest presenters Richard Crombie and Steve Greathead of RS Clare, the UK’s longest established manufacturer of lubricants for the marine and industrial markets, established in Liverpool in 1748. In addition to a roll call of international clients in the marine sector, the company’s Surface Coatings Division not only makes industrial ant-skid products but - as an interesting aside - the thermoplastic paint from which the nation’s roads are painted with double yellow lines.
Richard and Steve will be talking environment-friendly, technologically advanced, marine greases and how RS Clare’s innovative Bimagrip product trumps traditional square bar metal anti-skid systems (Bimagrip having most recently been used on ACL’s new G4 vessel Atlantic Sea). So even for the uninitiated, there’s something for everyone and we promise you a fascinating listen.
