Description

An Introduction to the Work of Face Lab: Facial Depictions of People from the Past.

On Wednesday 25th April, ic1’s very own Face Lab will be introducing the LSP Community to the amazing work they do in the second of our LSP Community Breakfast Briefings.

Face Lab is an LJMU Liverpool School of Art and Design research group which carries out forensic and archaeological research and consultancy work. Their portfolio includes craniofacial analysis, facial depiction and forensic art. Mark Roughley, Research Assistant at Face Lab, will be speaking about some of their most recent facial reconstruction projects including a cutting edge animated depiction of legendary Scottish poet Robert Burns, visualising an Egyptian Mummy through 3D reconstruction and an exhibition of what the average 19th Century convict looked like!

We are delighted to have Face Lab hosting this session and we are sure you will find their work as fascinating as we do. They have recently demonstrated their work with an exhibition in Hong Kong and their facial reconstruction work is frequently picked up by the national media. The event will run from 8am and LSP will be providing breakfast so turn up and be wowed by one of the amazing companies we have here at LSP!
