T his a full day, face to face session at Bradford women and newborn unit

I MPORTANT NOTICE:

These classes are ONLY for women/ partners birthing in Bradford.

Please book only ONE ticket. This will admit you and ONE birth partner.

Spaces are EXTREMELY limited, therefore please only book a place if you are certain that you can attend.

I f you book and realise you cannot attend, please CANCEL your place via Eventbrite, this will allow someone else to book onto the session.

The session will be run by the Parent education midwives at BRI for women and partners birthing at Bradford and will cover;

9.30 - 11.00 Labour and Birth; what is labour, coping strategies, pain relief, skin to skin contact.

11.30 - 1.00 Infant feeding and bonding; feeding baby, bonding, baby's brain development.

2.00 - 3.30 becoming a family and caring for baby, information about what happens following birth, realistic expectations of having a newborn, safer sleeping for baby and coping with crying, information about how to do practical cares of baby such as nappy changing and bathing

4.00 tour of the labour ward / birth centre
