About this event

Join the Meta Music Publishing team to discuss how songwriters can use Facebook to build community, establish and grow fanbases, as well as create authentic and engaging songwriting-focused content. This session is for all songwriters - whether you’ve been using Facebook for a while or you’re completely new to the app. Watch out for our upcoming session on Instagram too.

Lauren Landon

Lauren Landon is a Music Publishing Partnerships Manager at Meta, based in London. Lauren is passionate about amplifying songwriter stories and connecting people and communities through music across Facebook and Instagram. Prior to joining Meta in 2020, Lauren worked at PRS for Music, where she led PRS’ online strategic partnerships. Lauren is a classically-trained singer and spends her free time performing in an ABBA tribute band, Bjorn Ultimatum.

Ritch Sibthorpe

Ritch Sibthorpe joined Meta as Head of International Music Publishing Partnerships earlier this year. Prior to joining Meta, Ritch led international digital marketing and content partnerships at Warner Music Group, spent 6 years as Managing Director at Disney Music Group (EMEA) and, in early 2019, co-founded a start-up with the mission of helping solve music data conflicts. Before starting a career in the business of music, Ritch was signed as an artist and songwriter and has written music for both Disney and Universal Music Group artists.

This is an Ivors Academy member only event.

Organised by

The Ivors Academy exists to support, protect and celebrate music creators in the UK. We are the independent professional association representing songwriters and composers in all genres, whether they create song, symphony or sync. Previously known as BASCA, we can trace our history back over 70 years. As champions of music creators, we have three main activities: campaigning, cultivating and celebrating.
