Who is this space for?

Charity workers and volunteers in the UK who want to engage meaningfully in conversations on Palestine. This includes, but is not limited to, employees, employers, freelancers, consultants and volunteers.

Question 2

What happens in a “facilitated conversation”?

You’ll be guided through gentle prompts. It's an invitation to pause, to gather, to reflect, to grieve and to hold. It’s about sharing and listening, not debating. A trained facilitator holds the space with care and structure.

Question 3

Is it therapy?

No—this isn’t therapy. Although it offers peer support, not clinical care. We hold space for emotions and signpost you to professional mental health resources if you need more support.

Question 4

Will it be recorded?

For safety and privacy, the session won’t be recorded or streamed. Only the terms of reference agreement and resources shared by the facilitator will be emailed before and after the event.

What platform do you use?

Zoom. The link will be emailed two hours before the event.

Question 6

Do I need to keep my camera on?

Accepted Answer

We’d love to see your face at the start and end, but it's okay if you choose to have your camera off. Join however feels safest and most comfortable for you.

Accessibility—what if I need captions or BSL?

Zoom auto-captions are on. Unfortunately, for these sessions, we're unable to provide British Sign Language (BSL). However, if you have any other accessibility needs, please email comms@jmb-consulting.co.uk and we'll do our best to support you.

I’m not in the UK—can I still join?

Yes! The event is online and open globally. Times are in UK time. Add it to your calendar for automatic time zone conversion.

How do I prepare?

Find a quiet spot, bring a drink, and maybe something grounding (like a cushion or candle). No prep or slides—just come as you are.

What if I get overwhelmed during the call?

You can step away, turn off your camera, or message the facilitator privately. You’re free to leave any time—support links will follow by email.

What safety measures have you put in place?

We recognise that speaking out can come at a risk. This is why we've put in a vetting process to ensure that everyone attending does so in good faith. If someone is breaching the terms of reference agreement, which sets the principles, they will be removed from the space with immediate effect.
