A series of 3 x 2.5 hour webinars for creative & cultural practitioners to develop their skills as group facilitators.

About this event

Feedback from the first two rounds of participants...

  • "Reassuring, inspiring and refreshing"
  • "It allowed depth of engagement, participation in practice whilst providing conceptual frameworks and models to map ideas onto. Really good!"
  • "It was the combination of intelligent thinking and planning around both delivery and content by a skilled compassionate facilitator who held the space well so that all participants were able to be themselves and to contribute"

In this series of three online workshops, we’ll explore the facilitation of online and in-person groups, focusing on co-creative activities and democratic processes. These workshops are relevant for anyone who leads groups: creative practitioners, project managers and organisational or community leaders with some experience who wish to develop their own skills as online facilitators, take part in experiential exercises and learn more about leading groups in a democratic way.

Relevant for those working in creative, organisational, cultural or community settings, we'll explore the issues of group online facilitation during Covid-19 and beyond. A blend of taught material, group exercises and discussion.

Please note, these webinars will be limited to a maximum of 16 participants. Places are limited to provide an optimum peer-learning experience and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Thursday 5th November, 2020: 2-4.30pm - Online Groups & Facilitation Fundamentals

Thursday 12th November, 2020: 2-4.30pm - Practising Ethically and Safely

Thursday 19th November 2020: 2-4.30pm - Democratic Group Processes

Participants are asked to commit to attending all three webinars as the experience will be developmental.

The webinars will take place on Zoom. Attendees will be sent an event link and password once they have registered.
