Description
Presenter: Dr Aimee Blackledge, LDC Development Team
This interactive workshop offers time and space for participants to share and further develop their workshop outlines, following the ‘Designing Workshops’ webinar.
You will have the opportunity to trial exercises you designed and receive valuable feedback from your peers. We will also discuss facilitation in practice and methods for preparing for successful workshop delivery, including:
• Managing a workshop ecosystem
• Assessing risks
• Preparing the space
• Follow up plans
• Capturing value within workshops
• Establishing goals as a facilitator
At the end of the workshop, we will discuss ways to go forward in the Development Tutor Scheme.
This workshop is open to all but is also a prerequisite for those planning to join the Development Tutor Scheme.
You are strongly recommended to attend the webinar, ‘Webinar: Introduction to Facilitation’ prior to your attendance at this workshop.
This interactive session is part of the ‘facilitation’ development theme and offers opportunities to gain skills/behaviours outlined in the following Researcher Development Framework (RDF) subdomains: D1 Working with others, D2 Communication, B1 Personal qualities, B2 Self-management, B3 Professional and career development.
Registration: This workshop is open to all PhD Researchers at the University of Liverpool and to invited Post-graduate researchers from Universities in the North West and Yorkshire Postgraduate Research Training Group.
