Course Overview

This in-person course is for anyone who works with groups, staff teams, volunteers, individuals who use services, or groups involved in or consulted on how work is done.

This course aims to:

  • introduce participants to the concept of facilitation – and how it is different to other styles of working with groups
  • provide participants with a set of skills for group facilitation, including specific tools and frameworks for managing group dynamics and to support useful conversations.
  • provide opportunities to practice using tools and frameworks in a learning environment.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will develop a practical plan for implementing their new skills and knowledge in the workplace.

This course is for anyone new to facilitating or someone who would like to refresh their knowledge.
