Join Cyrus Cooper, author of 'Brilliant Workshops' for an inter-active, Saturday morning session designed to help you improve your facilitation skills.
Successful workshops, focus groups and team-building sessions are dependent on effective facilitators. How effective are you? How do you know? In your role as an HR or Learning and Development professional you will very likely be involved in facilitating workshops or internal events.
There are so many factors involved that you have to be constantly one step ahead - whilst also being in the present. With each session that you are running, you need to ask yourself 'is the audience currently engaged?' and 'is the next intervention going to keep them engaged?'.
A trainer starts from their own knowledge - whereas the facilitator starts from the group's knowledge. To be effective as a facilitator, the role should, ideally, be a neutral one. There may be no right answer, but the skill is in guiding the group to their preferred outcome. A faciltator does not have to be heard the most or be seen the most, to be successful.
This will be a highly interactive session, with the opportunity for individuals to try out tools and techniques in small groups to aid the learning process. Your personal experiences will greatly differ. This session is for people who are new to the subject, want a quick fix, or want a refresher.
This is a fee-paying event. Please note we can only accept on-line booking and payments for this event. A VAT invoice will be issued.
