Facing up to the challenges of growth
Thu 9 June 2016, 12:00 – 16:00 BST
Facing up to the challenges of growth.
A seminar for Cinnamon Recognised Projects on how to manage growth effectively.
A recurring theme among Cinnamon Recognised Projects is the constant need for change. A number of projects have found themselves limited by their current approaches to leadership, governance, fundraising and strategy. While each of these subjects is a topic in its own right, there is also a much bigger topic that CRPs need to face: how to transition into the next age and stage of growth successfully.
On the 9th June we are going to run a Seminar for CRPs to explore this subject.
Rod Street will be our guest speaker and host. Rod is a consultant, mentor, writer and speaker with over 30 years’ experience of working with charities, churches and businesses. He specialises in helping teams to understand and address their strategic and organisational challenges. Rod is the co-author of ‘Better Change in Church.’
There will be case study input from Tim Morfin of TLG: the education charity, and Jeremy Sharpe of The Link Visiting Scheme, sharing the challenges that they have faced and addressed:
Tim is the founder of TLG which addresses educational failure. From a small start helping one person in one church, TLG is now an award winning national charity with educational centres and other schemes across the country.
Jeremy founded The Link Visiting Scheme in 1998 in Wokingham, to address loneliness, particularly among the elderly. Since then he has spearheaded growth to over 20 new areas.
Places are limited to just 15 people so that we can offer what will be a round table learning environment for participants. This event is ideal for either CEO’s or senior leaders within Cinnamon Recognised Projects.
The seminar will be an opportunity to hear practical case studies and ask questions. There will be a chance to share and discuss your story and hear those of others, providing a great basis for identifying issues and action planning for future growth.
