Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Postgraduate Research Showcase
Thu 29 June 2017, 01:00 – 17:00 BST
On the 29th June 2017 the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will be hosting a Postgraduate Research Showcase, to highlight the range of research being undertaken by PhD researchers across the Faculty. This event coincides with the PGR Welcome Week taking place 26th – 29th June 2017.
At the event postgraduate research will be presented to a diverse audience, which will include University of Liverpool postgraduates and staff, as well as a range of external non-academic partners. These will include organisations and funders with whom we have worked collaboratively, for example through LiNK placements, CASE studentships and Collaborative Doctoral Awards.
This is an excellent opportunity for PhD students to gain experience of presenting and discussing their work with academics and external partners, who may well be non-subject specialists. The poster displays will be open to all for viewing from 1 - 4pm in the School of the Arts Library (19-23 Abercromby Square), after which a wine reception will be held for presenters, judges and external partners. Three prize vouchers of £50 will be awarded to the best posters, as selected by attendees, at the wine reception.
To find out more about last year’s event, please see here.
Posters are welcome from PGR students at all stages of the PhD, although priority will be given to students in the second and third year, should we be oversubscribed.
Once you have booked a place via eventbrite, please email email@example.com with the title of your research and the year of study you are in. These details will be required to confirm your place.
