Event description
International artist Raquel Meseguer presents 'A Mini Crash Course in Cloudspotting', a performance for FRONTLINE Arts Festival 2019

About this Event

What?

Join Raquel at 3pm on 2 October as she shares 15 real life stories from people's attempts to rest in public. Her performance involves text and dance, humour and song. And, of course, can be enjoyed horizontally! .....

Tea and Cake will follow Raquel's performance, along with the chance to discuss her work and the wider implications for access and rest in public spaces.

'A Mini Crash Course in Cloudspotting' (Performance & Installation)is inspired by her experience of chronic pain and the need to lie down(a lot). You can visit the month long arts installation at intu Potteries, which Raquel will have co-created with the local community from 3rd Oct. It will be a space to lie down, rest, tell and hear stories.

How to Get Involved

If you cannot attend the event, but would like to get involved, Raquel is gathering Resting Stories via a community survey: tell us your story here! Raquel is passionate about creating a resting space that meets the needs of the community and about sharing stories from our local community in her work.

Raquel's performance will last approximately 35 minutes.
