About this Event
What?
Regional dance companies, FRONTLINEdance & SiD present an evening of inclusive dance performance.
Seeing Me, by FRONTLINEdance.
Created with the local community; Seeing Me is a contemporary dance work that reveals the lived experienced of disabled people in the area. It has been described by audiences as as powerful, touching, enchanting, beautiful, delightful, deeply moving, and mesmerising!
Seeing Me is performed by an integrated team of professional and community cast of dancers, who will pop-up and perform throughout the evening ending with a finale performance on the stage.
....
Shropshire Inclusive Dance (SiD) perform 'Being Seen' a refreshing, energetic and playful exploration of equality, difference and togetherness. Being Seen introduces us to the quiet power of dancers with the wild and uncontrollable always there, just below the surface.
These inclusive casts of disabled and non-disabled dancers will leave you in no doubt that this is the perfect time to catch inclusive dance at its best.
Why?
The onus is on you; what do you see?
Do you see the disability or the person?
Do you see the dance, the presence, the care, the value or the absence of something?
FRONTLINE Arts Festival runs from 1st October to 1st November and features an inclusive programme of professional, high-quality artistic work created by, and for, disabled people, alongside fully inclusive workshops, talks & activities to engage and inspire the next generation of new & emerging disabled artists.
