Event description
How can local Fair Trade supporters get schools, colleges and unis involved in Fair Trade?

About this Event

This session is for Fair Trade campaigners and educators in Scotland who are interested in encouraging their local schools, colleges and universities to get involved in Fair Trade and apply for a Fairtrade award.

Join the meeting to:

  • Hear from Sally Romilly, Fair Trade campaigner and Global Education Advisor at the One World Centre, speak about the role of Development Education Centres in Scotland and how they can support your efforts.
  • Hear Claire Arnott, Education Campaigners Officer at the Fairtrade Foundation give an up on Fairtrade education awards schemes and how schools, colleges and unis can get involved in Fairtrade Fortnight 2021 online.
  • Hear from Fair Trade groups who have worked effectively with their local schools, colleges and universities.
  • Hear from some of our members about their activities and how they can support you.
  • Ask questions, share your own experiences and meet others interested in Fair Trade.

The session will be online, informal and interactive.

If you are interested in Fair Trade and work in or close to the education sector, or are hoping to establish stronger links with schools in your area, this is the session for you.

We'll send you the joining instructions a few days before the event.
