Fairness Task Force - building resilience for tackling poverty
Date and time
Join the conversation to support those living in poverty, and help plan how we can put strategies in place for the future.
About this event
Luton’s next Fairness Taskforce session will be on Thursday 9th June at The Hat Factory, Bute Street, Luton.
The event will focus on the key 2040 theme of alleviating and eliminating poverty. Citizen’s, businesses, schools and the voluntary and charitable sector are invited to join us to share experience of helping local residents who are facing this challenge, and explore how we can work more effectively together to provide support, given the current worrying and increasing pressures on household budgets.
Some of the session will focus on what being offered and can be achieved in the immediate here and now, but we will also take some time to look further to the future to identify systemic changes that we can work towards collectively to address the long-term issues that are facing our community. Please come with your thinking hats on to help shape the future in Luton for years to come.
Registration will open at 9:30 with the session starting at 10am prompt. A networking lunch will be served at 13:30 for those who can join us. The event will conclude by 14:30.
