An online guided creative writing workshop with exercises centred around fairy tales.
About this event
Note: These sessions are for adults 18+. Mature themes may arise as we will be exploring the fairy tales by The Brothers Grimm.
Trigger warning: we will be exploring tales that contain outdated beliefs and these may be triggering.
About:
In these sessions you will be provided with creative writing exercises, devised by me, to help you approach a fairytale in a different way. Perhaps you will come up with an idea for a short story, novella or novel. Perhaps it will help inspire something for a current work-in-progress. Whatever the result, these sessions are intended to be fun and are open to anyone (aged 18 or over) who would like to explore their creativity.
Each week we will look at a different fairytale. It would be helpful if you are able to read that week’s fairytale before the session. If you are unable to do that, do not worry, a summary of the fairy tale will be provided at the beginning of the session.

Please note that the workshop starts at 3pm UK time (BST - British Summer Time). The booking form and the booking confirmation email that is sent afterwards might show you both the 3pm time as well as the time in your country, which can be a bit confusing. Just to confirm, the workshop definitely starts at 3pm UK time. If you are based in a different country, please check what time that will be in your country. I look forward to seeing you all at the workshop.
