Description

A 1 Day Workshop Facilitated by Rethink Mental Illness, Community Access Support Service (CASS) and Assertive Contact and Engagement (ACE).

Overview

Those working and volunteering in their faith community are often the first point of contact when people experience distress. This course is for both brothers and sisters to learn more about information and practical guidance about mental health and wellbeing, so is aimed for those leading or active in their own faith community.

This 1 day course will help you to:

- Talk openly about mental health

- Recognise signs and symptoms of mental distress

- Learn about support and services available in Bristol

- Signpost your community to local services

- Practical skills for how to bring up the subject of mental health

- Dealing with crisis situations

- Looking after yourself while supporting others

The day will start with refreshments and registration at 9.15am, with a prompt start at 9.30am, and will finish at 3pm. There are 15 spaces available, and to get the most out of the course, you will need to be able to attend the whole day.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please state if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.
