The overarching aim of this course is to increase understanding around a heritage asset type about which little is generally known. We will therefore introduce delegates to Historic England’s expertise and research work in this area, as well as share several case studies that exemplify best practice in heritage conservation. In addition to this, we will emphasise to delegates the useful practical applications of the research, and encourage them to interact with it through new Historic England projects to ‘enrich the list’ via crowd sourcing.
