Surely we all have a duty of care for all our colleagues?   Over the last 2 years, we have been piloting seminars in Conquest and Eastbourne DGH seeking to emphasise and encourage the need for compassion towards each other and ourselves. Only when we feel on top are we in a position to show true compassion to our patients.

These meetings are coordinated by PRIME – Partnerships in Education, one of the worlds largest Christian healthcare teaching networks bringing the values and example of Jesus into the practice of excellent clinical healthcare

Church leaders can sometimes find themselves ill-equipped to help those in their congregations in some aspects of this vital part of their lives. These meetings offer a chance for those charged with pastoral care to better understand the problems of people working “out there”. Others in our fellowships who want to pray for and support those in work will also find them of value, thus these meetings whilst concentrating on the needs of specific groups are open to all.
