Faith in the Bay : The Arts in Contemporary Welsh Culture and Spirituality
Wed 24 May 2017, 16:30 – 19:30 BST
The Arts in Contemporary Welsh Culture and Spirituality
'The Arts in Contemporary Welsh Culture and Spirituality' is the second in a series of three events organised by The Cardiff Bay Ecumenical Chaplaincy under the title 'Faith in the Bay' - a title that is deliberately ambiguous. The aim is to address spirituality, culture and issues in the public square.
We are pleased that this event will be held in the Norwegian Church Arts Centre in Cardiff Bay.
We are delighted that three prominent people in Welsh life have agreed to speak and stimulate our conversation, each of whom who has a deep engagement in the Arts and who bring different perspectives to the subject:
Bethan Jenkins AM Chairs the National Assembly for Wales' 'Culture, Welsh Language and Communications Committee;'
Phil George is Chair of the Arts Council of Wales;
Beverley Humphreys is a Singer, Broadcaster and Social Justice Activist;
The evening will begin with registration at 16.30 with refreshments provided, and will end by 19.30.
We look forward to what should be a stimulating conversation on a subject close to the heart of the culture and spirituality of Wales.
