Thursday 2nd February 4 to 5pm
Thursday 9th February 4 to 5pm
The workshop is held over two consecutive Fridays from 4 to 5pm. You can register for one or both session, but you will get the most out of it by attending both.
The MLK Chaplaincy are running workshops which will help members of faith societies and others to examine how involvement in their faith communities or volunteering can help them build their CVs and demonstrate competencies to potential employers.
These sessions will help students to explore the values they hold and how to match these with what employers are looking for as well as how to talk about these appropriately in interviews.
The session on 2nd February will be focusing on identifying transferrable skills from faith involvement and/or volunteering to update your CV and the session on 9th will be identifying what your values are and how to use these in job hunting, application and interviews.
Everybody who attends these sessions will get a free portfolio and memory stick with information to take away and help them prepare for applying for placements and employment.
Maximum number of students at each session 20
