Wildlife survey. 1 hour

Learn basic navigation. 1 hour

Family Crafting.

Lets gather sticks, leaves and feathers.

Time to create that masterpice of art. Maybe create that special birthday card or simply just stick stuff together and have fun.

This is fantastic for younger children, and encourages fine motor skills and imagination.

I Spy.

What can we see around the local area or along the canalside?

Tick items or animals off your list, lets see what may hiding in the bushes or in the fields. Who will win and finish first?

Lets use our observation and memory skills with this activity. Good for children to compete against their parents, and see who can find the most items.

Wildlife Survey.

Time to open the guide book and use the binoculars to observe and record your findings. Compare notes, and understand what impact climate change is having on our local wildlife.

This could be great for anyone wanting to understand nature, the environment and climate change.

Maybe a good avtivity for someone studying in a nature style course, either at school or higher education.

Basic Navigation.

Learn how to use a map and compass, find and identify local landmarks.

Can we find North as a group?

Lets hope we don't get lost !!

This is a good family or individual activity, it will test your observation and problem solving skills.
